I think this makes a lot of sense, especially in light of how Clinton’s negative tactics backfired in 2016. What concerns me is that there may be (poorly informed) people who feel sorry for Trump — like, he’s the victim of a global pandemic that, through no fault of his, has destroyed all the good things he has done. Is there a way for Dems to set the record straight on the two very incorrect prongs of that perception without falling into the trap this article warns against? Or do we just decide that anyone who isn’t already aware of how catastrophic Trump has been is unreachable anyway?
